Portland, OR – The University of Portland Men’s Lacrosse Club has announced its captains, who will lead the Pilots during the 2015 season towards their quest for the program’s first PNCLL DII Championship.
#1 Chris Timm is a Senior Attack from Roseburg HS in Roseburg, Oregon. A 2-Time MCLA Honorable Mention All-American, Chris possesses athletic ability and competitiveness that separates him from the pack. “I am excited about the potential we have to do something great this season. There is no ceiling for the group of guys on this team.”
#7 Nolan Ripple is a Senior Midfielder from Brophy Prep in Phoenix, Arizona. This will mark the second season that Nolan has garnered Captaincy designation. He has also been recognized 3 years in a row by the PNCLL as an All-Conference midfielder and face off specialist. “As a Captain, I look to bring our team to the next level this year.”
#30 Kyle Michael is a Junior Defenseman from Mullen HS in Golden, Colorado. Kyle, or “KM” as he is known by teammates and coaches, brings to the table a hard work ethic and relentless style of play – no surprise for a member of the university’s ROTC program. “For a lot of our roster, this is their first year playing college lacrosse and I am excited to see not only their individual ability but the team’s ability.”
#25 Sean Gunn is a Senior Midfielder from City Arts & Tech HS in San Francisco, California. Sean has been a leader for this program both on and off the field. Throughout his time with the Pilots, Sean has played nearly every position, a testament to his hard work and willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team. “My objective as captain is to emphasize that fun and hard work are not opposing factors and can coexist.”
